Our in-school Science Club is another opportunity for pupils to don their scientist hats and be the lead investigators in their own enquiries. Pupils are encouraged to ask questions about the world around them and use different types of scientific methods and enquiries to try to find the answers.

PIE Project
The Primary Inspiration through Enterprise Charity aims to help young people realise their ambitions and raise their aspirations through providing real life enterprise experiences with local businesses to ensure young people are adequately prepared for the world of work. The PIE project aims to develop future career and life skills through activities including engineering, art and coding.
Last year, Reid Street Primary School were the 2018 winners of the Big PIE Challenge. The pupils appointed 3 managers to pitch ideas to companies so that they could raise money for St Teresa’s Hospice. The pupils were constantly thinking of new and effective methods to carry out their fundraising activities. The pupils realised there was an opportunity to sell ice pops due to the really hot weather at the time. The pupils displayed a great sign of entrepreneurship and immense teamwork.
