Welcome to Key Stage 1.
My name is Miss Bunn and I am the Key Stage 1 manager. We have a dedicated team who want the best for our pupils, both academically and pastorally. Pupils are taught in mixed ability classes, except for phonics, where we set using the Read, Write Inc programme.
Our classrooms are bright, engaging and open-plan, with a gradual progression towards more formal experiences in Y2 to help develop a love of learning.
In Key Stage 1, we aim to provide a happy, supportive and stimulating learning environment where children build strong foundations for future learning. Teaching focuses on developing essential skills in reading, writing and mathematics, while encouraging curiosity, confidence and independence.
