Year 1 Victorians

Victorian Games
Today, we are learned all about the games that rich and poor Victorian children liked to play. Some of them are similar games we play today.
We had lots of fun singing Ring a ring of roses, Oranges and Lemons, clapping games (A Sailor Went to Sea) and we loved playing Hopscotch.

Year 2
Great Fire of London

People who changed the world

Year 3
Romans

Egyptians

Year 4
Anglo Saxon Village
Year 4 had great fun making a model Anglo Saxon village. They worked in teams using lolly sticks, paint, boxes, collage, straw and lots of glue! They were all very proud of their achievement.

Vikings
Year 4 children got very creative with the help of local wood artist Jos Thompson. They helped her create a fabulous Viking boat that they will use in their end of year assembly. As you can see a fun, messy time was had by all.

Year 5
Stone Age

Skara Brae Drama
In order for us to understand what it was like to live in the Stone Age, we created a drama of ‘A Day in the Life at Skara Brae’. We each had different roles to carry out as part of the tribe. We had whale hunters, house builders, food gatherers, water suppliers, farmers, fire builders and rabbit hunters. At the end of a tiring day at Skara Brae, the whole tribe sat round a huge campfire and told stories.
